Baby Organic Cotton Clothing is Expensive

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 2:53 am

Organic cotton clothing are better in quality in terms of thickness, durability and softness, since the cotton fibers have not been exposed to harsh chemicals during the growing and harvesting process. Aside from that, organic cotton baby clothes are made under strict guidelines ensuring that there is enough space for air to pass through. With that, moisture will evaporate from the clothing, preventing any skin irritation to occur on baby’s very sensitive skin.

Higher cost in growing and harvesting organic cotton

In growing and in harvesting organic cotton, natural fertilizers and other natural methods to get rid of pests are employed. And, they are really expensive too. while conventional cotton growers are using harsh chemicals that can speed up their harvest, organic cotton growers are doing it naturally. no short cuts with the use of chemicals. instead, organic way would mean hiring more laborers to actually do the harvesting.

Organic Cotton Baby Clothes

Organic cotton baby clothes are expensive because of these three valid reasons: costly to manufacture due to level of demand; better quality; and, higher cost in growing and harvesting organic cotton.

Cotton is an ideal fabric for any clothing product. It is best used for making socks, sleepwear, jackets, and most importantly for baby clothes. Clothes made from cotton are soft and comfortable to wear. With the increasing demand for the production of cotton, it follows that the use of chemicals and fertilizers to protect cotton during its growth, have also increased tremendously imposing a threatening effect on the environment. in this light, raising organic cotton has become a better alternative. The only disadvantage is the cost it entails in producing cotton organically. It follows that any clothing item made from organic cotton like organic cotton baby clothes would come out as expensive. But, it does not discount the fact, that baby clothes made from organic cotton are still much better than the ones made from cotton that have been produced using synthetic fertilizers.

Natural Mattress for Healthy Sleeping

I was recently reading a forum and noticed a person asking where they could get a mattress pad like those made by Naturepedic (she even included a link to the product) for her own, adult-sized bed. There are quite a few people interested in organic cotton mattress pads and toppers, so I thought I’d let you know that we do actually have larger sizes – not just those that fit toddler.

Mattress pads and toppers are a good idea for every bed – they help keep the mattress clean, make it more comfortable, and extend the life of your mattress. If you choose a waterproof model, it will also help keep the mattress free of bodily fluids, make sure it stays dry so no mold or bacteria develop and block dust-mites and other allergens.

The waterproof models are also very comfortable – the outer and inner layers are soft, organic cotton, but between them is a non-toxic membrane that blocks liquids. You sleep on the soft cotton without sacrificing protection.

Yoga Mat Bag – Organic Cotton

Anyone out there use a Zen Yoga mat such as this can tell you that the rug works best when it is damp. If you are beginning your practice dry, you will not get the best results till your rug is a little damp from perspiration. Our suggestion, like they do all over India, is to spray a little water on your Zen Yoga mat. Do this at the head and feet position ahead your practices. Just a little of water will suffice. On the other hand, you may begin practising on a sticky Zen Yoga mat. Then, when you begin to perspire and slip on your sticky mat, you can roll out your practice Zen Yoga mat and the slipping will cease with the moisture from sweat from your body.

Manufacturers nowadays point to a new choice of Zen Yoga mats. As a matter of fact, it had occurred to a lot of people that the Zen Yoga mat they used for Pilates seemed rather, shall we say, shiny and synthetic. And so it is with a Zen Yoga mat. These Zen Yoga mats are natural; they are also biodegradable. This calls to mind images for you of practising Zen Yoga in the woods and then just leaving your mat there to get absorbed by the jungle around it. But then, the Zen Yoga mat is also somewhat strange.

Our sleeping bag is the safe way to keep your baby warm. So comfy with an inner layer of our super soft stretchy organic cotton terry and outer layer of soft organic cotton medium weight knit in adorable patterns. No thin wispy fabrics here, we want these items to last. Entire front zip with our safe plastic  zipper.

Put baby in tee shirt and then zip them up in our bag to keep them warm without fumbling with all those blankets that they just seem to push off anyway. SO breathable, so pure.

Baby’s skin is so sensitive, so organic cotton is much better for this.

February may be cold, snowy and somewhat dreary, but spring fashion is already in stores and fall fashion is already being paraded down the runways. So instead of moping over gray skies, get ready to shine in some new eco-fashion finds. Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but these sweet styles continue to evoke that romantic feeling for days to come. Here are just a few things we’re loving this month: coats, sweaters, accessories, even makeup! Take a look:

Red is showing up all over the Fall 2010 runway in New York, so get ready to see (and sport!) a lot of this cheery hue. You can get started with Indigenous Design’s adorable little knit dress in ruby, made from organic cotton and Tencel. Keep it subtly sexy by pairing it with opaque tights or leggings and a snuggly sweater coat. We like indigenous’s red alpaca sweater coat for its bright color and beautiful details. You’ll swoon over the soft, handwoven alpaca wool. This is perfect for a night in or a day out and about.

Not to get all matchy-matchy, but while we’re embracing red, we simply can’t leave out another great knit by Indigenous: This organic cotton poncho echoes what we’re seeing on the runway, but it’s functional enough to get you through your day.

Some Brooklyn designer has been creating garments from organic cotton and organic wool in a wind-powered NYC factory. She has gained fame as the designer behind Rapscallion for Urban Outfitters and the erstwhile one-half of eco-design duo Bodkin. Her romantic designs, from sweet pleated skirts to plaid rompers to long layered dresses, are clearly retro-inspired—what quirky-indie darling Zooey Deschanel might wear to a movie premiere or just on a bike ride (on a vintage bicycle, natch).

Indeed,  Starre Vartan reports that Pleet was influenced by the movies—and by romance. “I love cinema and I love my husband, so the line is influenced by that,” Pleet said. The Fall 2010 collection exudes the same charm and whimsy that makes her Urban Outfitters line so popular—only much more eco-chic.

All About the Cut when it Comes to White Dresses

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 2:27 am

Like I mentioned before, it’s all about the cut when it comes to white dresses. Find a dress that fits you well and flatters your figure. To dress up or down, add a blazer, a belt at your natural waist or a cardigan. Since white is neutral, you can technically pair it with any other color and be okay. However, there are some colors that work better for this season. Choose bright, bold colors, light brown leathers, lavender and classic black for best results.

Undergarments
White dresses, unless made of a very thick material, are almost always see-through. To avoid distasteful showing of panties and bras, wear undergarments that match your skin tone. And, always wear a slip! Go for a light nude or white slip.
Shoes

Depending on the style, you can wear flats or heels with white dresses. For work wear, choose classic heels in black, light brown, nude or a bold color like navy, pink, red or green. For evening wear, go for a bright, fun or metallic pair of heels. For weekend attire, opt for flat sandals.
Accessorize

A white dress is a blank palette. You can keep the simple elegance of the dress by adding a thin strand of pearls. Or, you can go all out with statement jewelry. Choose monochromatic jewelry for the best pop and contrast. Bright pinks, turquoise, green, yellow and black are all great options. Or go for the metallic look with a gold statement necklace and wide cuff.

Wide belts work best with white dresses, adding another dimension to the dress

White Dress with Office Look

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 2:25 am

Wearing white to the office is totally okay. It’s true that white dresses can look a bit more summery and, incidentally, more casual. So, if you need to look more professional in your workplace, layer a blazer or belt a cardigan over the dress and opt for heels instead of flats. Read more about which shoes to wear below.

The dresses I’ve chosen to spotlight here are more conservative than those in other categories since you’ll want to look respectable at work. Make sure you wear the proper undergarments for all white dresses, but especially for those you wear to work!

a cardigan is so much better to go with it.

Essential Dress for Summer Weekends

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tags: — admin @ 2:23 am

The little white dress is high summer’s answer to the little black dress. But whereas black can sometimes look a little too safe and dreary on a balmy summer’s day or night, bright white has true star quality, as celebrities such as Kate Moss, Cat Deeley,  Uma Thurman and Kate Beckinsale have all discovered this season.

The little white dress evokes many tender memories. It can be sweet and innocent, like a fairytale wedding day or a first communion. It can be dazzkubg ib tge red caroet as a long slink, strewn with sequins, or it can be hippy-trail simple, as in a cotton kaftan with white-on-white embroidery, tossed over a bikini.

It is also the essential dress for summer weekends and holidays; nothing else sets off a gleaming golden (fake or real) tan in quite the same way.
