The blue needs to be the same shade as the felt but a tone darker, so the stitching matches for stitching it onto the background but is dark enough to show up nicely when I add the lid detailing. Gosh I sound so picky, but it is so important that it matches properly! 
These colors are so beautiful under the light, and shining too.
I love to buy blue color clothing and these is a must have in my home for occasional stitches.
