Anyone out there use a Zen Yoga mat such as this can tell you that the rug works best when it is damp. If you are beginning your practice dry, you will not get the best results till your rug is a little damp from perspiration. Our suggestion, like they do all over India, is to spray a little water on your Zen Yoga mat. Do this at the head and feet position ahead your practices. Just a little of water will suffice. On the other hand, you may begin practising on a sticky Zen Yoga mat. Then, when you begin to perspire and slip on your sticky mat, you can roll out your practice Zen Yoga mat and the slipping will cease with the moisture from sweat from your body.

Manufacturers nowadays point to a new choice of Zen Yoga mats. As a matter of fact, it had occurred to a lot of people that the Zen Yoga mat they used for Pilates seemed rather, shall we say, shiny and synthetic. And so it is with a Zen Yoga mat. These Zen Yoga mats are natural; they are also biodegradable. This calls to mind images for you of practising Zen Yoga in the woods and then just leaving your mat there to get absorbed by the jungle around it. But then, the Zen Yoga mat is also somewhat strange.

Our sleeping bag is the safe way to keep your baby warm. So comfy with an inner layer of our super soft stretchy organic cotton terry and outer layer of soft organic cotton medium weight knit in adorable patterns. No thin wispy fabrics here, we want these items to last. Entire front zip with our safe plastic zipper.

Put baby in tee shirt and then zip them up in our bag to keep them warm without fumbling with all those blankets that they just seem to push off anyway. SO breathable, so pure.

Baby’s skin is so sensitive, so organic cotton is much better for this.

Cotton is a top fabric of choice for babies because of its natural softness and breatheability. But the safety of cotton fabrics for infants and children has been called into question because of the staggering amount of pesticide used to saturate growing cotton plants. The use of chemicals perpetuates itself, requiring the use of ever increasing, ever stronger chemicals each year as the insects they are intended to kill become immune to them. Every one of these problems is eliminated with organics – which just happen to be completely safe. Gee, imagine that.

The same reasons organic cotton is better for the earth, lack of pesticides and harmful chemicals, it is also better for your baby. A baby’s skin is 5-7 times thinner than an adult’s and is far more porous to absorb harmful chemicals. A baby’s internal systems, especially the immune systems are also more sensitive than an adults’. According to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, allergies and asthma can arise from early exposure to chemicals and asbestos, and the incredibly intensive chemical farming and industrial treatment, of the fabrics we wear and sleep on. (California Department of Pesticide Regulation, “DPR Releases Data on 1999 Pesticide Injuries,” 2001.)

Organic cotton is also better for you, the parent. For starters, organic cotton has a higher quality look, characteristic smoothness and weight. It simply looks and also is soft, velvety, and cozy. Any interesting detail, organic cotton tends to be sturdier and last longer than conventional cotton. Without chemical treatments and better adapted to fend for itself, organic cotton grows stronger than conventional cotton.

Conventional baby clothes found at regular baby shops and stores contain pesticides, harmful dyes, and heavy metals that don’t just come off in the wash!!

Did you know Organic Cotton is Hypo-allergenic for your baby? Organic baby clothing is safer for your family and better for the environment (as traditional cotton farming accounts for 25% of the worlds pesticide use).

When it comes to baby, you must be extremely careful in choosing the clothing fabric. Some baby maybe alergic to some kind of chemical fabric. Tha’s terrible for your baby’s skin and health.

Reusable shopping bags are more environmentally responsible than disposable paper bags or plastic bags. But which reusable shopping bag is really the best eco-choice? Let’s look at the options.

The common material for the reusable bag:

Organic Cotton: Conventional cotton farming ranks second in pesticide use among all crops and uses 25% of the world’s insecticides. The farming of organic cotton eliminates the use of these harmful chemicals, but the cultivation of cotton is still very water intensive.

That said, cotton bags are quite versatile. From string bags to canvas bags, you have your variety of choices depending on what you are looking for. While hemp is probably your best bet for durability, organic cotton is your best option for a lightweight bag.

Recycled PET:This fabric is made from post consumer plastic bottles and containers, helping redirect waste away from landfills. It is a good alternative to nylon and is a bit sturdier, making a more durable bag.

Recycled Cotton:The cotton comes from the scraps acquired during the processes of spinning, weaving, and cutting cotton. As much as 40% of cultivated cotton goes to waste between the harvesting of the crop and the manufacturing of apparel. Instead of ending up in landfills, these scraps are being recycled and put to use. These bags are both lightweight and sturdy.

Base on what your need is and the type of items you buy, the above is all good choice for you, hard to tell which one if better.

There’s no sight sweeter than a softly snoozing baby. Of course, a softly snoozing baby surrounded by pure organic cotton. The cotton toy that you should bought home for your baby would be those made from cotton grown using sustainable farming practices that maintain soil fertility without use of toxic pesticides or fertilizers.

Baby smiles, you smiles.

Coyuchi is a global citizen in every sense of the word. Its whimsical Jingo design—a sheet, bumper are just a few of the items included—speaks to the company’s international pedigree, featuring delightfully embroidered animals from all over the world on a smooth, natural white organic cotton background.

“Care what You Wear” is an important campaign that “bans on the most toxic agricultural chemicals for made of what we wear”.

We consumer don’t want lies, we spend the money for pure cotton and it’s acturally not pure, we spent money for the more expensive organic cotton, who would be responsible for the potential problem about this kind of cotton fabric ?

Let’s see the official explanation of Organic cotton, which is cotton that is grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides from plants which are not genetically modified.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is a far superior alternative to chemical-laden conventional cotton.

More and more farmers around the world are growing cotton without costly, harmful chemicals. Their yield is high and the quality of the cotton they grow is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton. Their methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water.

Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, at least for now, costs a bit more. But it is worth it since it doesn’t contain any hidden costs to our environment.
