Cotton is a top fabric of choice for babies because of its natural softness and breatheability. But the safety of cotton fabrics for infants and children has been called into question because of the staggering amount of pesticide used to saturate growing cotton plants. The use of chemicals perpetuates itself, requiring the use of ever increasing, ever stronger chemicals each year as the insects they are intended to kill become immune to them. Every one of these problems is eliminated with organics – which just happen to be completely safe. Gee, imagine that.
The same reasons organic cotton is better for the earth, lack of pesticides and harmful chemicals, it is also better for your baby. A baby’s skin is 5-7 times thinner than an adult’s and is far more porous to absorb harmful chemicals. A baby’s internal systems, especially the immune systems are also more sensitive than an adults’. According to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, allergies and asthma can arise from early exposure to chemicals and asbestos, and the incredibly intensive chemical farming and industrial treatment, of the fabrics we wear and sleep on. (California Department of Pesticide Regulation, “DPR Releases Data on 1999 Pesticide Injuries,” 2001.)
Organic cotton is also better for you, the parent. For starters, organic cotton has a higher quality look, characteristic smoothness and weight. It simply looks and also is soft, velvety, and cozy. Any interesting detail, organic cotton tends to be sturdier and last longer than conventional cotton. Without chemical treatments and better adapted to fend for itself, organic cotton grows stronger than conventional cotton.
Most pajamas are made of pure cotton and some rich people prefer the silk pajamas, which I will talk about next time. I often wear the cotton pajamas and I find there is some tips for choosing sleepwear, not all of them feels so cosy.
Don’t choose the one with complicated purfle or decorated in the neck, remember, the simplest designed, the better. That’s why people like silk pajamas better, since silk feels like you don’t wear them at all.
Don’t choose the color too glare to the eye. That may disturb your sleep somewhat.
Make sure it’s pure cotton, you know, there is many fake cotton items in the market to fool you around, you’d better feel with your hands and see the tag.
No evidence proves that cosy cotton pajamas would promote sleep, but I believe so, it works for me. Remember to change them every night, don’t be lazy to wash them frequently since it’s your second intimate friend except the underwear.

Look around you at home, you will find that you are living in a cotton world with many household items made of cotton. You are laying on the cotton pillow, wearing the cotton T-shirt, holding the cotton bear, sitting on the cotton bedding sheet, and I feel very comfortable about all this.
So items made of cotton are very common in your home, cotton industry must be a giant industry that hold a large market. The basic point is the Cotton fabric, that’s the basic cotton element made of all this together.
So do you know how cotton is grown and what is feels like pure cotton ? That’s a tricky question you never thought about, right? Cotton is very important in human life and planting cotton maybe a good way to be rich.
In summer, people would like to buy cotton clothes, since they feel very cosy to the body. Sometimes, the cotton is not pure, can you tell it from your hands feeling ? I figure probably not, but my mom could do this.
Regarding underwear, we don’t want any chemical elements in them, purely cotton or other nature fabric is better, so it’s very useful when you command this skill.
Frequent wash may kind of distort our cotton T-shirt, that why we need to buy new ones when the next summer season comes. After several times wash, the cotton shirt would lose it’s vivid color, or becomes larger.
100% cotton T-shirt is not always better, if for home comfortable wearing, than purely cotton is better, but if for outdoor wearing, added in it some other elements, it may got other benefits that cotton don’t have, such as anti-crinkle, which is an important tips for buying pants, since you don’t want your pants to be easily crinkled.
Since cotton hardly endure hard frequent wash, so wash them gently, use hands wash, not machine wash if you are not so lazy to put everything into the wash machine.
Don’t put them in the hot sun for too long.

You might not quite realize the fact that you really can’t live withou cotton. Look at the everyday clothing you wear, the towel you washing your face, the cushion you lay on, the cleaning cloth in your kithen, they are all made of cotton.
So there is so much I want to share with you about cotton in this blog later on. Can you feel cotton by your hand, someone in the apparel bussiness must can. Can you tell between pure cotton and partial cotton texitle in case be fooled by the seller ? That’s a very practial technique in daily life.
